2.5 Information Collected During Website Scans
When a customer submits a website or URL for scanning, AccessScope may access, process, and store information that is publicly available from that website, including:

Scan results may incidentally include personal information that is publicly displayed on the scanned website. Customers should not submit private, authenticated, restricted, or confidential web pages unless AccessScope has expressly agreed in writing to process that content.
2.6 Information From Third Parties
We may receive information from service providers, payment processors, authentication providers, referral partners, publicly available sources, and other third parties where permitted by law.

4.4 At Your Direction
We may disclose information when you direct us to do so, authorize the disclosure, or use a feature that involves sharing information with another person or organization.
4.5 Aggregated or De-identified Information
We may create and use aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify an individual. We may use or disclose such information for research, analytics, product improvement, benchmarking, security, and other lawful business purposes.
5. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
AccessScope does not sell personal information for money.
AccessScope also does not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable California privacy law.
If our practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any notices or opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law.
6. Email Communications
We may send transactional or service-related emails, including account verification messages, password-reset messages, billing notices, security alerts, scan notifications, report availability notices, and important updates to the Services. You generally cannot opt out of communications that are necessary to provide or secure your account.
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in those emails or by contacting us. Even after you opt out of promotional communications, we may continue sending non-promotional messages relating to your account or use of the Services.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain customer accounts, fulfill contractual obligations, comply with legal and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and protect our legitimate business interests.
Scan reports and historical scan data may be retained while an account remains active and for a reasonable period afterward. Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, the applicable subscription plan, legal requirements, backup cycles, security needs, and operational requirements.
Information may remain in backups for a limited period after deletion from active systems. We may retain aggregated or de-identified information indefinitely where permitted by law.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
However, no method of electronic transmission, processing, or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Services at your own risk.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for promptly notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.
9. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:
- Request access to personal information we maintain about you;
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- Request deletion of personal information;

To submit a privacy request, contact us at [PRIVACY EMAIL ADDRESS]. Please include sufficient information for us to identify your account and understand your request.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Where permitted by law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf, but we may require proof of the agent’s authority and verification of your identity.
Certain information may be exempt from a request, including information we must retain to comply with law, complete transactions, protect security, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, or establish or defend legal claims.
10. California Privacy Notice
This section applies only to the extent that the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”), applies to AccessScope and the personal information at issue.
During the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers, such as names, email addresses, IP addresses, account identifiers, and transaction identifiers;
- Customer-record information, such as contact and billing information;
- Commercial information, such as subscription plans, purchases, payment status, and service history;
- Internet or electronic network activity, such as account activity, browsing activity within the Services, log data, and device information;
- Approximate geolocation information, such as a general location derived from an IP address;
- Professional or employment-related information, such as company name, role, or job title; and
- Inferences, such as service preferences or likely areas of interest based on account and product usage.
We collect these categories from you, your devices, publicly accessible websites submitted for scanning, payment and service providers, referral sources, and other sources described in this Privacy Policy.
We use and disclose these categories for the business and commercial purposes described in Sections 3 and 4 of this Privacy Policy.
AccessScope does not knowingly collect or use sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit its use under the CCPA.
AccessScope does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
11. International Users
AccessScope is operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate.
Privacy and data-protection laws in those countries may differ from the laws in your country. Where required, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
12. Children’s Privacy
The Services are intended for businesses and individuals who are at least 18 years old. They are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
13. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or practices of third parties. Your use of a third-party service is governed by that third party’s policies and agreements.
AccessScope scan reports may identify third-party technologies used by a scanned website. The identification of a third party does not imply that AccessScope is affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for that third party.
14. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” settings. Because there is not a universally accepted standard for responding to all Do Not Track signals, the Services may not respond to those signals.
Where applicable law requires us to recognize a legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, we will process the signal as required by law.
15. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of the policy.
If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through the Services, by email, or by another reasonable method. Your continued use of the Services after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective signifies your acknowledgment of the updated policy.
